Co-owner Textor Aims to Complete Crystal Palace Purchase

Crystal Palace co-owner John Textor revealed that he made extensive efforts to acquire the remaining shares in the club, but his offer went unanswered. The American businessman, who holds a 45% stake in Crystal Palace, stated that he will now focus on selling his shares to pursue a potential relationship with Everton.

Textor noted that there is considerable interest from various parties in purchasing his stake. His move to sell comes after Everton's owner, Farhad Moshiri, granted him a period of exclusivity to explore this opportunity. Textor expressed disappointment that his offer to buy out the remaining shares of Crystal Palace, which he claimed was at a valuation significantly higher than previous investments, did not receive a response. He acknowledged that his partners at Crystal Palace seem intent on maintaining their ownership, similar to his earlier aspirations.

Pepe announced his retirement from football

Textor, who is known for his work in digital ventures such as virtual reality and the streaming platform FuboTV, first announced his plans to sell his interest in Crystal Palace and explore a potential investment in Everton back in May.
